Have had problems with billing by the PUD
To the Editor:
My son and I, on numerous occasions, have been given questionable billings from Kittitas PUD. We have also had payments applied in ways that have created numerous problems.
We both have meters that have been ours from the date of installation. We have asked that an audit be done on our accounts. This was months ago and we still have not received any information in the form of an audit that was requested for the account. We have also requested a written explanation for how and why we are billed the way that we are being billed. One so-called estimated billing was for more than $900. After making payment for the estimated billing the amount billed should have been only $250. In my opinion the local PUD office in Ellensburg has a one-sided customer service policy, and that side in “not” the side of the customer.
Have you had problems with billings from Kittitas PUD? I am putting together a formal complaint to the Utility Commission asking for answers. Let me know what problems or experiences you have had and I will included them with my complaint.
